Dr Zafar Hayat completed his medical studies and qualified in Pakistan in 2004, where he worked as a junior doctor for two years before moving to the UK in 2006. He obtained his MRCP and completed his core medical training in 2011. Following this, he worked in general medicine and geriatrics for five years before earning his MRCGP in 2020. Since then, Dr Zafar has been practising as a General Practitioner in the National Health Service (NHS).

Dr Zafar has a special interest in elderly care and palliative care, general medicine, diabetes, chronic lung conditions, mental health, and dermatology.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading, playing table tennis, and cricket.
